Welcome to ReceptoPharm
ReceptoPharm is an innovative biopharmaceutical
research and development company developing proprietary
therapeutic protein products primarily for the
prevention and treatment of viral and neurological
diseases in humans. The emphasis of ReceptoPharm's
approach to drug discovery and the development
of new therapeutic agents is based upon specialized
receptor-binding proteins found in nature, especially
those found in snake venom from the cobra.
ReceptoPharm has 2 Leading Drug Candidates:
- RPI-MN inhibits the entry
of several viruses that are known to cause severe
neurological damage in such diseases as rabies,
encephalitis, and AIDS. It is being developed
first for the treatment of HIV.
- RPI-78M is being developed
for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS).
Other neurological disorders that may be served
by RPI-78M include myasthenia gravis (MG), muscular
dystrophy (MD) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
(ALS).
Based upon ReceptoPharm's positive
in-vitro and in-vivo data, it is planned to move
into full regulatory trials as quickly as possible.
